This phased horizontal camp construction project involved all aspects of engineering and design for a 3,000-person facility in Western Africa. The completed camp included accommodations, an access control facility, watchtowers, an ammunition supply point, and all necessary water and power generation utilities. CADG performed the work over nine months and mobilized a team to be on-site within 30 days.
In the first construction phase, CADG completed a topographical survey, soil evaluations, and earthworks to ready the site for building. The project team also cleared all existing vegetation and performed sub-grade site preparation, including leveling, graveling, and compacting. CADG installed a perimeter fence and security access control gates and observation posts.
During the subsequent phase of work, the project team constructed additional permanent structures. This involved the installation of all supporting utilities, such as electrical supply and distribution works, information and communication systems, and water management and sanitation systems.
CADG’s in-house logistics, procurement, aviation, and quality control departments also played a crucial role in the successful execution and completion of this project.
